Many people are affected in the areas of finances. Families and pastors are bleeding in this area. Many destinies have been crippled because of the weight of financial insufficiency. People of integrity have found themselves roaming around the doors of compromise because of this issue of finances. Believers need to have ability to understand God economic system and bring to their lives abundance financial resources that gives them liberty to serve God with integrity, live a life of meaning and purpose, and be a blessing to the world. If you are limited economically, the purposes of God in your life will suffer; your dignity will be under attack and every other aspect of your life will suffer eventually.

It is the responsibility of the church to build believers wholistically; first laying emphasis on their spiritual well-being. However, in addition to their spiritual well-being, it is important that believers be taught the whole counsel of God. When finances are sorted out at any level in your life, many things will go forward in your life. If you are incapacitated financial many things in your life will suffer. The subject of finances in church has wrongly been taught; inaccurate narratives have been proposed hence affecting many believers. There are people who have lived in denial, living other aspects of life but ignored the subject of finances.

The devil is using financial hardship to plague many people. In most cases, diseases are used by the enemy to cripple the financial capacity of many people. 1st Peter 5:8, the adversary is devouring many people in finances.

Financial prosperity in the kingdom is a combination of the following;

•  Laws and principles – Both spiritual and natural.
•  Human factors
•  Divine empowerment
•  The help of God

The starting point of every financial journey is an awareness of the following:

1. a. It is the will of God for you to prosper financially. Proverbs 10:22, the blessing of God maketh rich and adds no sorrow to it. Deuteronomy 8:18, it is God that gives the power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to our fathers. Psalm 35:27, 1st Timothy 6:17 – There is a worldly financial system and a kingdom financial system. God gives richly all things for us to enjoy. Something happens to you when you verify that you are in the will of God.
2. b. Financial prosperity is one of the blessings that comes with loving and serving God. Psalm103:2, Job 36:11 – every time the people of God disobeyed Him in the bible, they suffered economically. People who sincerely love and serve God, do not spend their lives suffering in financial pain unless they have violated the above mentioned combinations.
3. c. You can have abundant financial resources without knowing or loving the Lord, but peace and fulfilment that comes with it only comes from God. Anybody who prosper without God takes something with it, Proverbs 10:22; some people got money at the expenses of their aligens and consciousness. There are problems that comes into your life just because you are rich and only God can solve such problems. The problems of the poor can be solved by money but the rich people’s problems can only be solved by God. If you are at a point where your problems cannot be solved with money, you are in trouble. Most of the wealth people have succession problems, multiple identities and live a lonely life; they are everywhere but lonely. Wealth without God is dangerous and risky. Satan attacks everyone including the rich; he designs problems for them too.
4. d. Wealth and abundance in the kingdom is a function of laws and principles, human factors, divine empowerment and the help of God. Neglecting one of these factors is not good. You choose God as the principal factor and also respect the system that He put for acquiring wealth.
5. e. God does not decide who becomes wealthy or who remains poor. What you decide does not mean that God chose it that way, Deuteronomy 30:15-20. God only advises you to choose life but He does not force you. God has given men the liberty to use the provisions He has put in place to decide their financial destinies. Proverbs 22:2, God made both the rich and the poor, but He did not make them poor or rich.
6. f. Kingdom wealth is not about being a millionaire or billionaire but about having supplies that meets your needs, empowers you to support the work of the kingdom and empowers you to be a blessing to your world. The assignment of God is not to make men millionaires or billionaires, but being a millionaire or billionaire is a by-product of your diligence, productivity, purpose, desire to have for the sake of your comfort, kingdom and blessing your world. What matters to God is not that you are a millionaires or billionaire, but it is that you attain a level where you can live a life of dignity and then have abundance financial resources to support His programs. There is so much to be done for the kingdom.

You can only give what you have; such as I have, I give unto you. Killing, destroying and stealing to be wealthy is the way of the devil. Stop calling yourself a hustler, it is a curse; call yourself salt, light, king, prince, priest – Isaiah 8:20. There is a way a light carrier speaks. When you have this mindset, your approach to wealth now moves from carnality to purpose. Stop faking what can be real in your life.

HOW WEALTH WORKS

Ecclesiastes 10:15, the foolish here is a description of one who is void of knowledge.

Just having abundance of financial resources does not mean that you are wealthy. Wealth is measured in the kind of financial system you have built around your life to guarantee that there is no depletion and you rise higher and higher. There is a difference between wealth and riches. The factors below explain how wealth works in this kingdom.

1. Your spiritual roots; by practicing the spiritual laws

Everything that God designed starts from the realm of the spirit. Genesis 1:26, God started by speaking in the spirit of Adam. Things happen in the realm of the spirit before manifesting physically. The calamity of Job started in the realm of spirit before it manifested on a certain day. From the foundation of the earth the Lamb was slain, a spiritual reality but there was a certain moment in time when it happened. In approaching the subject of wealth regardless what your spiritual orientation is, you start from the realm of the spirit. The growth of a tree starts under the ground, the invisible part that you cannot see. Just because you cannot see does not mean something is not happening, that invisible part is what will maintain it when it becomes a giant tree. Many people go up and down financially because their wealth is only economic, it does not have a spiritual root. Man is a spirit that lives in a body, midwifing the body and the spirit is the soulical realm called the soul. It is an order that cannot be compromised; the root of our day starts from the realm of the spirit. Everything that happens and we see on earth today came from the realm of the spirit Hebrew 11:3. Attempting to be wealthy God’s way and ignoring the realm of the spirit will be you wasting your time, because manipulation happens there.

Adherence to spiritual laws is the foundation of understanding how money works. These laws include:

•  Absolute surrender – Proverbs 23:26, It is when God gets your heart that your money becomes profitable. In God’s economy your heart matters beyond your resources. There are many people who do a lot of things for God with their money but their hearts are not with God. It is the state of your heart that gives value to your giving and anything else you do in this kingdom.
•  Law of tithe – Every believer in Christ ought to tithe with understanding
•  The covenant of giving – If you do not give, God will not hate you but you will suffer the consequences of violating His principles. Psalm 89:34, the ordinances of heaven do not bend to biases and prejudices. You are left with the option of choosing God’s way and one of the mysterious ways we connect to the blessing in the kingdom is through giving. If you are not a giver, you will be poor. If you give occasionally, you will have occasional supplies. God mandates believers to give so as to concur idolatry. Anything you are ready to give means that you have risen above it; your refusal to give it is a sign that it has risen above you. Give and let it be consistently. Giving is an attitude and not the availability of money.

Responsible Christianity trains and builds believers to understand giving from a point of love and joy. Make it as a kingdom responsibility to give always to all men. Giving is living because God’s honours giving. To secure the hand of God upon your life, let giving provoke it; this is what Solomon did to secure wisdom from God. Refusal to give is proof that you don’t trust God. Your tithing is your spiritual assurance but your giving is your rising. When you give upwards, you rise upwards. Practice giving and it will work for you.

2. Engaging the law of value.

Value and productivity is an important component. Value is the measure of your usefulness; your ability to provide solutions that are needed and are useful. Value is beyond your passion; the assignment of your passion is not to give you money, it can give you money but it is fulfilment. There are many things that you are passionate about but they are not needed in the world. The rewards we receive in life and destiny is in direct proportion to the need for what we do, the ability to do what we do and the difficult in replacing us. If and when you are not valuable, you are going to be poor. Every time you dispense value, a reward will come eventually. The bible says give and it shall be given unto you Luke 6:38.

Everybody must be valuable; being an active contributor. Products and services are your value which you have packaged and you are serving them with excellence. You must find out what you have that the world needs and is willing to pay for. Write a list of what people are willing to pay for; If you don’t know what people are willing to pay for, more likely you will never be able to receive money under normal circumstances. People are willing to pay for housing, health, food, clothing, water, land and others. You know you are valuable by who is willing to follow you; if nobody is following you means that you are not valuable or not valuable enough. Value puts you in a position of advantage leading you to the level of productivity. Productivity is the art of packaging your value and turning it into products and services; refining your value.

3. Law of excellence

This is what separates people from others in the world of value. Most believers are poor and mediocre because they are not excellent. Believers are not excellent, give them a job and they will disappoint you; they are careless. Everybody buys excellence and not just things. Excellence is the determination to surpass ordinary standards. Everybody who has the money to give you is looking for a standard and if you can meet that standard, you will enter your financial Sabbath. If God brings you to an opportunity you don’t know how to do, preserve your name and bring someone who is excellent to help you; A good name is better than profits. Be passionate about excellence and receive the grace to hate mediocricy. Whatever you cannot do well, challenge yourself and go back to correct it. Surround yourself with sincere people who can love you enough to tell you the truth.

Let it be a desire in you to serve kings which can only be possible through excellence. You know you are excellent when you are called upon when kings arrive. If you want to be excellent, allow people higher than you to mark your scripts and tell you how excellent you are.

4. Law of relationships

Proverbs 13:20, who likes you can redefine your financial destiny; who hates you does not matter. People can be elevated overnight because someone liked them. Relationships are very powerful; when you like to relate with people, they invite into their world and space. Genesis 12:3-4, 13:1-5 – Lot was not called by God but he was blessed by God through his relationship with Abraham. It is important to know whether you are Abraham or Lot; not everybody will be Abraham, but everybody can partake of what God told Abraham. If you are Lot, master relationships. The greatest way to maintain relationships is gratitude. If you cannot be a contributor to that relationship by bringing value, lavish that relationship with gratitude. Ingratitude will destroy great opportunities from your life. Acknowledge the contribution of other people in your life.

There are things which can be easy if the people who are there like you. Joseph interpreted the dreams of three people and only one person was able to bring him out of prison. It matters who you serve; God can call you into certain cycles using just one relationships. The easiest way to prosper is through relationships. Statistics shows that, everybody is four people away from their destiny helpers. The person who God has destined to help you, there is somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows that person. Life will be as difficult as the relationships that are missing in your life. Relationships were designed by God to close destiny gaps and, if there are gaps in your destiny that relationships have not closed, can prolong your journey.

You maximize relationships in your life through;

•  Praying that God brings the right people to your life.
•  Becoming a person of character so that when God brings those people to your life, they will not see you as a curse to their destiny. The way you manage somebody who does not have money is different from the way you manage somebody who has money. Most people have lost favour because they did not know how to manage relationships. Be wise when God takes you to the table of the great because one of the expensive commodity on that table is information; you have to know how you manage the information of the great people otherwise you will lose great relationships. Your edge in walking with great people will be your ability to make them feel at ease in your presence; to manage information. The grace to keep quiet is a remarkable grace, may God give you that grace.

Until you rise to the position of the great, you will not know the consequences of your carelessness. If you have not been raised to a point of great, you will not know the value of relationships; never abuse relationships. When people grant you access to greatness, protect and preserve it; never get too familiar. People have destroyed their relationships and that of others because of carelessness. There is a protocol to relationships. God can introduce you to strategic relationships that can elapse 10-20 years of training and establishment. You lose relationships, you lose a lot in your life.

5. The only way money grows and multiplies is through investment.

Ecclesiastes 11:2, you must learn and master investments. If you do not understand investments, you will never be wealthy. The salary you earn can be used in investments. When God shows you faithfulness financially, the next project is to settle down and learn everything you can on investments. A believer who does not know how to invest will not perpetuate wealth in their lives. Never release your money until you learn on what you are investing in (understand what you are doing).

God brings information so as to redeem you and your future. Live a decent and modesty life within your means. A fake life is very expensive and it takes so much to fund that life. Be patient if you are not there, God is bringing you there; work within your budget as you rise. Don’t waste your salary, learn about investment as much as you can. Meet intelligent people who know about investments and seek counsel from them.

There are five investments you must make in your life;

• • Spiritual investment - Your relationship with Jesus Christ is a potent investment that has returns on it including financial returns.
• • Mental investment – Whatever you store on your mind will always be there and ready to be delivered when needed.
• • Health/well-being investment
• • Strategic relationships – Relationships brings mighty and marvellous returns. There are certain things that when you find, you have found all other things.
• • Financial investment
